The Hanikka nature trail winds between Suinonsalmi, Kaitalahti and Soukansalmi. The vegetation in the Hanikka area is versatile: alder groves, rocky pine forests and between them spruce-rich mixed woodland. In the summer, the lush parts are almost like a jungle, and in the dusk, you can sense the bats flying above. Hikers interested in ancient history will be pleased to see the Bronze Age burial mounds along the route and bird watchers will delight in the observation tower.
