Destination information

Visitors can swim on Kuusijärvi’s supervised beach in the summer or try ice swimming in the lake in the winter.

During the winter, Kuusijärvi is an excellent place for ice swimming. Before plunging in the icy water, you can enjoy the heat of the traditional electric sauna or the cosy smoke sauna.

If you wish to make a fire at the Kuusijärvi campfire site, you need to bring your own firewood.

Kuusijärvi’s recreational tracks are lit at night, and in the winter, the cross-country skiing tracks are lit already early in the morning.

The leisure trails are turned into cross-country skiing tracks in the winter; at other times of the year, they are available for walking, jogging and cycling.

The free car park in the area accommodates approximately 200 cars. However, on warm summer days, the car park may get full.
