Arrival instructions
When traveling from Helsinki, follow highway number 7 until junction 62. After this, turn left and continue for 10 kilometres along road number 170. Next, turn toward Pålbölentie and drive for approximately 1.7 kilometres. You will see a forest road leading to the parking area on left side of the main road.
Myllyjärvi is in Loviisa. There are no cottages or houses on the shores of the lake, which creates a wilderness atmosphere. For those seeking some natural tranquillity, Myllyjärvi is a delightful destination to share with birds such as ospreys, black-throated divers, and several species of hawk that also enjoy the peace and quiet the area has to offer.
A track follows the southern end of the lake and passes the stony and lush boreal forest on the eastern side. A little island can be viewed from the track and is home to nesting birds. Visitors are kindly asked to pass by the island quickly and quietly during nesting time, so as to not disturb the birds. A bare rock area lies just beyond the forest on the western side of the area. During autumn Myllyjärvi is a great destination for berry and mushroom pickers.
