The Yli-Takkula outdoor recreation area is part of the Nuuksio lake upland in Espoo. The area is home to diverse forest habitat. The old Yli-Takkula mansion stone foundation is a reminder of a bygone era. The recreation area is suitable for berry picking and mushroom hunting.
Yli-Takkula area is small but its location makes it a good starting point for a trip into the nearby Nuuksio national park.

Destination information
The parking area is just next to a private building. Parking is only permitted in the designated area, not in front of the private building. There is an information board nearby. The track to Nuuksio national park and to the shore of Lake Saarijärvi also begin there.
The parking area and road are maintained during winter time.
