Easter is a popular time for outdoor activities also in Uuvi recreation areas. Although there is plenty of room for everyone out and about in the wilderness, the car parks, break areas and campfire sites can become overcrowded from time to time. It is a good idea to be prepared to change plans and head to another site, if the car part turns out to be full. We advise you to pack a picnic that does not need to be cooked on a campfire or bring a camp stove with you. If possible, head to your destination at dawn or dusk, when there are fewer hikers about. We recommend that you bring your own hand sanitiser and toilet paper with you for toilet visits.
Traffic management at car parks
Over Easter, there will be traffic management measures in place in Porkkalanniemi, Palakoski and Kopparnäs-Störsvik. If there is congestion in Kopparnäs-Störsvik, you can park your car at Råbergintie 22, 10160 Inkoo.
Spring thaw is currently underway in many of Uuvi recreation areas. Small roads are in poor condition, for example, in Piilolammi, Porkkalanniemi and Kopparnäs. In Myllyjärvi the forest road to the lake is closed now during frost heave time.
