Rövaren’s shores are mainly outcrop and pebbles. On the north-east shore, visitors can explore the cylindrical glacial potholes, giant’s kettles. On the eastern shore, travellers can admire the impressive rapakivi granite boulder. The pebbly embankments on the south-eastern shore have been formed as the land has risen, and now the lower branches of spruce trees stretch over them. Further inland, visitors can pick bilberries and lingonberries to snack on or to enjoy with breakfast porridge. The island’s southern and eastern shores open out to the sea whilst the western shore is more sheltered.
