Destination information

Keravanjärvi is easy to get to, with only a 1.5 kilometres journey from road number 25. There is an information board and dry toilet next to the parking area.

The sand beach with “Swimming instructions” info-board and lifebuoy is only for human swimmers. Suitable place for dogs to swim is the most southern cape on the Uuvi area. Remember to keep dog on a leash also during the swim.

Part of Keravanjärvi recreation area is a nature conservation area and visitors are kindly asked to stay on the main trails there. Camping is not allowed within the nature conservation area of Keravanjärvi (see the map for area boundaries) but following Everyman’s right, you can camp elsewhere in the recreation area.

The parking area is maintained during winter time.

Accessibility

There are no unobstructed services in Keravanjärvi, but the gravel path from the parking area to beach is wide and flat. The beach is only approximately 200 metres from the parking area. The beach is sandy and soft underfoot.

Additional information

Flying squirrels make their home in the forested parts of Keravanjärvi. Bird species such as blackcap and the Eurasian wren also enjoy the old forest habitat. Water birds such as the black-throated loon and whooper swan can often be seen from the shoreline.
